If your district is listed above, congratulations — you can head out tomorrow to collect your payment!
New Procedure for Collecting Your Payments
There’s a small change this time in how you’ll receive your BISP payments. Instead of collecting money from banks or shops, BISP has set up special campsites in each eligible district. Here’s how the process works:
-
Once you receive an SMS from 8171 confirming your payment is ready, head to the nearest BISP campsite in your district.
-
Make sure you bring your original CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) and the birth certificate of your child if you are also part of the Taleemi Wazaif program.
-
At the campsite, you will go through biometric verification. This means they will check your fingerprints to confirm your identity before handing over the payment.
-
Only those registered in a specific district will be allowed to collect payments from that district’s campsite. So, don’t go to another district’s camp — it won’t work.
Important tip: Double-check your documents before leaving home. Forgetting even one can cause unnecessary delays!
Can You Check Your BISP 8171 Payment Status Online?
Many beneficiaries are wondering: Can I check my payment status online from home? Sadly, not at the moment. BISP has not restored the 8171 web portal for checking payments online.
Here’s what you should remember:
-
You cannot verify your payment status through any online portal right now.
-
Only after receiving the official SMS from 8171 should you proceed to the BISP campsite.
-
Don’t trust any unofficial messages, websites, or phone calls claiming they can check your payment. They are likely scams trying to trick you.
BISP will only use their own channels (official SMS and official campsites) to inform you. Following the correct procedure will help you stay safe and ensure you get your money without any trouble.
